Own marketing and underwriting for an assigned surety portfolio in Canada for the Allianz Trade North America Surety Team. Maintain and grow broker relationships, recommend new brokers, and market surety capabilities while underwriting profitable business. Execute the regional strategic plan with the VP of Surety, document decisions transparently, and collaborate across the Americas and internationally. Attend surety industry groups and local events as requested.

•Execute the established strategic business plan to maintain and expand Allianz Trade’s surety business in Canada with the VP of Surety.

•Document decisions and recommendations in a consistent and transparent manner.
•Conduct account and portfolio underwriting in line with underwriting guidelines and portfolio management requirements.
•Collaborate with Allianz Trade colleagues across the Americas and internationally, and attend local surety events as requested.

Key Requirements

•4+ years of industry experience and demonstrated expertise in surety in the Canadian market.
•Knowledge and ability to underwrite and grow a surety portfolio.
•Established track record developing business with brokers and maintaining strong broker relationships.
•Entrepreneurial ability to establish and achieve goals and objectives in the market.
•4-year university degree with emphasis in business, economics, or finance.
