Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide legal advice on data privacy and data export/localization laws and regulations impacting Honeywell primarily in the EU, including GDPR and cross-border data sharing.
  • •Develop, implement, and administer a global data privacy program to minimize privacy risk, and work with Government Relations to influence privacy and localization laws.
  • •Facilitate cross-border data transfer mechanisms and develop enterprise data privacy training programs, including reviewing privacy impact assessments and conducting DPIAs.
  • •Provide EU data privacy support across HR, including GDPR lawful basis, retention, access/transfer requirements, and DPIA/investigation support for HR systems and monitoring technologies.
  • •Advise IT and product teams on data governance and data rights under the EU Data Act, and counsel on data localization/residency and compliant architecture and contractual solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •J.D. (or equivalent) and admitted to practice law in a jurisdiction in the EU.
  • •10+ years of relevant legal experience, including significant experience advising on data privacy, data governance, and technology matters.
  • •Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex issues quickly and communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • •Proven subject matter expertise in data privacy law, data governance, and regulatory risk management.
  • •Deep working knowledge of GDPR and the EU Data Act.
