Job Summary

Lead planning, execution, and documentation of complex development, qualification, and customer defence trials from a hands-on role. Manage work packages and coordinate multidisciplinary teams while engaging customers, engineering functions, and suppliers to deliver trial programmes safely and to project requirements. Prepare and operate specialised missile and environmental test equipment, analyse results, drive continuous improvement, and support customer training on-site and remotely.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, manage, and coordinate development, qualification, and customer trials in the UK and overseas, ensuring safe delivery to project requirements.
•Collaborate with project teams, engineering functions, customers, suppliers, and external agencies to secure resources and support trial programme delivery.
•Lead allocated work packages and provide technical leadership within multidisciplinary teams, reporting progress to the Head of Trials & Environmental Test.
•Support design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and operation of specialist missile, missile system, and test equipment for ground, flight, and environmental trials.
•Review and assess test data and trial records to determine objectives, identify issues, recommend next steps, and coordinate field operations and customer support/training.

Key Requirements

•Degree (minimum 2:2) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or an HNC/equivalent with relevant industry experience.
•Full UK driving licence and ability to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
•Proven experience designing, assembling, testing, and operating electrical and/or mechanical equipment and systems.
•Ability to use analogue and digital instrumentation in a manufacturing, test, or engineering environment.
•Demonstrated capability analyzing technical data and preparing clear technical reports, procedures, and test documentation.
