Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive maintenance and repairs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trailers and equipment with little or no supervision.
  • •Document work on Repair Orders (RO) by uploading photos, parts used, and findings using a company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application.
  • •Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and repair systems such as trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps and engines, liftgates, and brake chambers.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Comply with safe operating practices and federal regulations (including OSHA, EPA, and DOT), including completing required safety training and maintaining daily pre-/post-trip inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (trailers); alternatively 5 years’ experience in a related field.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •OEM training and certifications are preferred; participate in and complete required company training.
  • •Successfully complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
