Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform technical design and drafting support for electrical equipment/systems on power and water projects.
  • •Prepare detailed substation drawings including SLDs, GA drawings, equipment layout drawings, cable routing and trench layouts, earthing & lightning protection layouts, and control & protection schematics.
  • •Use AutoCAD (2D drafting, mandatory) and MicroStation while maintaining drawing standards, layering, and naming conventions.
  • •Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, site teams, and client representatives to resolve drawing discrepancies and update revisions.
  • •Maintain drawing registers and revision control; prepare submission packages and ensure drawings meet QA/QC requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •8-12 years of experience in basic and detailed engineering design of electrical works on power & water projects, preferably in a detail engineering consultancy firm handling large projects.
  • •Strong expertise in utility standards and hands-on drafting design deliverables for EPC or consultancy projects in the Middle East (including DEWA, TRANSCO).
  • •Knowledge of IEC codes and practices followed in the Middle East, with exposure to IEC/US/Euro or other international standards.
  • •Ability to coordinate in a multi-discipline team, support the electrical engineering discipline, and resolve technical questions.
  • •Strong attention to detail, good communication and coordination skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
