Job Summary

Lead Garner Health Intelligence (GHI), the backbone of doctor-ranking algorithms and other foundational data assets. Own the GHI roadmap, technical standards, and production systems end-to-end, while building and scaling a team of applied scientists, clinical researchers, and product managers. Drive business accountability for outcomes and commercial performance, and partner cross-functionally to align GHI with company strategy.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead a team of applied scientists and clinical researchers to build and evolve doctor-ranking and doctor categorization algorithms.
•Own the roadmap and standards for Garner Health Intelligence (GHI).
•Build, lead, and develop the GHI organization across Applied Science, Clinical Research, and Garner Insights, hiring and growing ICs and managers.
•Be accountable for GHI business results, including rankings’ impact on healthcare cost and quality and commercial performance of Garner Insights.
•Set technical direction by shaping objective functions, tradeoffs, decision frameworks, and where to invest across ML, optimization, heuristics, or simpler methods.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 439,000 - 460,000 annually

Key Requirements

•7+ years in applied science, quantitative research, or machine learning, including hands-on experience building algorithmic systems; an advanced degree is preferred.
•Proven track record running an algorithms-driven organization as a business, owning technical results and accountability.
•Management experience scaling a high-performing technical team, including hiring, development, and performance management.
•Strong quantitative and applied problem-solving skills, including setting metrics and selecting methods.
•Ability to choose between statistical models, heuristics, optimization approaches, and simpler methods based on judgment and ROI.
