Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a senior architect/designer across a portfolio of projects, coordinating design across multi-disciplinary architectural and engineering teams with discipline leads.
  • •Oversee design activities and production of design information, ensuring quality against AECOM’s Technical Excellence standards and internal governance at bid and delivery stages.
  • •Apply CDM Safety in Design principles across all project design stages and manage design documentation correctness and multi-disciplinary coordination.
  • •Present to clients and prospective clients, and resolve critical issues with persuasion and negotiation with clients, contractors, and local authority representatives.
  • •For on-site projects, manage interface between the design team and site team to ensure timely design support; support Associate Directors/Directors on operational responsibilities and technical excellence initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Fully qualified Architect or Architectural Technologist (Chartered or equivalent) with proven experience on large multi-disciplinary design projects, preferably data centres.
  • •Ability to manage design delivery, including design documentation correctness, accuracy, and multi-disciplinary coordination, while meeting demanding timelines.
  • •Must be proficient in the team management and use of CAD, with current working knowledge of Revit and experience using 3D modelling in Revit workflows.
  • •Working knowledge of UK building systems, standards, and regulations, plus some experience with building contract forms.
  • •Eligible to work in the UK and IT literate with CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite (including Teams).
