Job Summary

Legal Counsel to support Clio’s commercial business, primarily assisting the Sales team with negotiating and closing across SMB, Enterprise, and Public Sector. You will handle SaaS agreements, NDAs, and privacy matters, advise on IP/licensing, and help scale the legal function with a focus on AI-enabled products and cross‑jurisdiction privacy compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the full lifecycle of Sales Agreements (NDAs, drafting, redlining, negotiating and closing) and collaborate with Compliance, Security, Channel Partnerships and other internal stakeholders.
•Support Public Sector contracting with government procurement frameworks and cross-jurisdiction considerations to move deals forward compliantly.
•Advise on Referral & Partnership Agreements in collaboration with the business development team to structure and close efficiently.
•Provide guidance on Technology & IP issues, including licensing, trademarks, and AI-related legal considerations.
•Support Privacy program efforts including policies, data breach response, DPIAs, and regulatory guidance across EMEA/UK jurisdictions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 131,800 - 178,200 annually

•Curious about AI and legal tech and eager to use these tools in practice
