Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure compliance with relevant and applicable laws of Panama for the Processing Plant Engineering team.
  • •Implement and drive Safety and Environmental Management Systems and ensure adherence to safe operating procedures, including work permitting and lock-out procedures.
  • •Address and report Safety and Environmental incidents promptly.
  • •Deliver primary KPI results for optimized plant equipment performance to achieve throughput, recovery, and product quality targets.
  • •Support production planning and budgeting through equipment strategies, planned maintenance scheduling, defect correction, and operational reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Tertiary qualification in Process Engineering, Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, or a related field.
  • •Post-graduate qualifications are highly regarded.
  • •Minimum of 15 years of technical and leadership experience in large, complex metallurgical process operations within a multinational mining company.
  • •Significant experience in base metal crushing/grinding and flotation circuits; direct copper concentrator experience is highly regarded.
  • •Strong experience with Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) management systems and related best practices.
