Job Summary

Supervise 3rd-shift sanitation and cleaning activities for the plant’s production equipment and facility to meet food safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Lead day-to-day oversight of sanitation teams and 3rd-party sanitation workers, develop and maintain SSOPs and Master Sanitation Schedules, and ensure compliance with GMPs, USDA policies, and safety/PPE requirements. Coordinate with R&D, Quality Assurance, vendor partners, and Maintenance to improve sanitation results and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

•Direct and supervise day-to-day sanitation/cleaning of plant equipment and the facility to meet food safety requirements and quality standards.
•Ensure team members and contractors follow company policies, GMPs, safety rules, and proper PPE usage.
•Perform supervisory duties including training, performance appraisal, rewards/discipline, resolving complaints, and verifying contractor duties.
•Develop, document, and maintain cleaning procedures (SSOPs, cleaning logs) and the Master Sanitation Schedule.
•Provide oversight of 3rd-party sanitation workers and coordinate with R&D, Quality Assurance, vendor partners, and Maintenance on sanitation issues and improvements.

Key Requirements

•2+ years of manufacturing experience in the food industry, with food industry sanitation experience preferred.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience combination (equivalent combination will be considered).
•Analytical, critical, inductive, and deductive logic and reasoning skills.
•Ability to read and interpret MSDS safety rules and procedure manuals, and write reports.
•Ability to efficiently use a personal computer, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
