Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs, on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck and trailer equipment across electrical, brake, cooling, engine electronics, steering, engines, transmissions, differentials, and related systems.
  • •Inspect, test, and troubleshoot defective equipment using tools and test instruments; road test vehicles to verify fixes.
  • •Document work on Repair Orders (RO) including photos, parts used, and findings using a company iOS device and TRAIT application.
  • •Maintain compliance with safety, health, environmental, and federal regulations (including OSHA, EPA, and DOT) and manage parts inventory on the service truck.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternate combination such as additional certification/degree or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •A current and valid DOT medical card (or be able to complete DOT physical) and successfully pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening.
  • •Be at least 21 years or older with a valid state-of-residence driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
