Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide senior technical authority on test strategy across most Connected Warfare applications and complex, high-risk, or multi-system test campaigns.
  • •Review and improve verification strategies (requirements-based, scenario-based, operationally relevant) and ensure they scale across CW software-enabled hardware and pure-software systems.
  • •Connect test programs by identifying opportunities to reuse test infrastructure, tooling, instrumentation, and lessons learned across the division.
  • •Mentor and escalate for Staff and Lead Test Engineers by reviewing plans, execution approach, and reporting across developmental test, system integration (HIL/SIL), and operational assessment events; step hands-on only for the hardest events.
  • •Support test process execution and traceability (requirements to V&V results), define/monitor division-level coverage and defect-closure metrics, and partner on root-cause investigations for hard findings.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred).
  • •10–14+ years of system-level test and evaluation experience for integrated hardware/software systems, including 8+ years in a technical leadership or test lead capacity.
  • •Demonstrated technical depth across multiple relevant systems (e.g., tactical C2, sensor/mission autonomy platforms, networked datalinks).
  • •Proven track record across the full test lifecycle, including requirements development, HITL lab integration, developmental test, operational validation, and reporting.
  • •Strong RF communications and tactical datalinks experience in DoD operational environments, plus the ability to mentor engineers without formal management authority.
