Maintain, repair, and overhaul heavy mobile equipment and vehicle systems by disassembling, diagnosing, testing, and reconditioning mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. Service wheeled and tracked equipment and transport trailers, perform modifications and road testing, and use precision measurement tools to prepare vehicles for final inspection. Support rebuild operations and, when required, obtain CDL Class A and a forklift license for testing and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform full maintenance processes including disassembly, repair, overhaul, modification, alignment, diagnosis, and testing in bay or line operations.
•Service wheeled and tracked heavy mobile equipment, heavy-duty transport trailers, and related components.
•Disassemble components (e.g., engines, transmissions, final drives), determine methods, and organize parts for storage or reclamation.
•Recondition equipment by replacing or overhauling parts and installing, connecting, and adjusting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
•Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting, perform road tests, and prepare vehicles for final inspection; support rebuild operations and testing as needed.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required.
•1–5 years of training via on-the-job experience and informal training; a recognized apprenticeship program may be associated.
•Be able to perform maintenance, disassembly, repair, overhaul, diagnosis, and testing in bay or line operations.
•Use precision tools such as vacuum gauges, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and micrometers for inspection and troubleshooting.
•May be required to obtain and use a CDL Class A for vehicle testing and will obtain a forklift license upon request.
