Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage a team of project managers developing the annual Billable Works programme, scoping projects, selecting main contractors, and delivering projects safely and on time.
  • •Deliver complex or high-profile projects while ensuring compliance with legislative, JSP, and contract standards, including tracker updates to the Senior Programme Manager and HoBW.
  • •Produce formal briefs, specifications, procurement plans, and tender documents for projects and robustly manage delivery according to contract requirements.
  • •Drive continuous improvement across the billable works function, including commercial and supply chain management and implementing processes and guidance for consistent delivery.
  • •Manage new build, refurb/refit, and demolition projects across RAF Alconbury and RAF Lakenheath, including client and stakeholder management and progress reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Experienced Senior or Principal Project Manager from a construction background, or a senior Project Coordinator with HNC or equivalent in Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • •Experience delivering projects as a Construction Site Manager with project delivery experience.
  • •Understanding of Asbestos Awareness, IOSH Managing Safely, and Legionella Control (L8).
  • •Strong IT skills and excellent people management, budget management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain SC Clearance as a condition of employment.
