Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Respond to incidents with fire-fighting, technical rescue, hazardous materials, and emergency medical/first-aid activities as part of a team.
  • •Enforce Teck Metals and Government standards and regulations; demonstrate commitment to Trail Operations Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental policies.
  • •Perform fire prevention and education, including fire safety inspections and public relations/public education activities.
  • •Assist with maintenance and operation of fire and rescue equipment and facilities, including cleaning and upkeep.
  • •Support emergency response readiness by gathering/using information for decisions, participating in training, and acting as a dispatcher in the Teck Emergency Control Center.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 37.29 - 50.4 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter Level II (Full-Service Operations Firefighter).
  • •Valid BC Class 3 & 4 Drivers License with Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • •Advanced First Aid (previously OFA3) or Licensed EMR.
  • •Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize your own work and coordinate the work of others.
  • •Live within 15km of Teck Trail Operations and complete required pre-employment assessments and physical tests.
