Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement approved environment department policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls to meet procedural and legislative requirements.
  • •Supervise day-to-day environment operations to ensure compliance with established procedures and controls.
  • •Oversee incident investigation and reporting for environment incidents, coordinating with agencies where required, and recommend actions based on outcomes.
  • •Plan, organize, and conduct environment training courses to all organizational levels to improve awareness and reduce incident frequency and severity.
  • •Control and coordinate maintenance and testing of environment protection systems and conduct routine workplace evaluations to identify non-conformance and recommend solutions for compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  • •5-7 years’ experience in a similar role in a large industry, preferably in the aluminium industry.
  • •Exposure to ISO systems.
  • •Ability to draft standard operating procedures and proposals.
  • •Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic (preferred).
