Key Responsibilities

•Review and develop Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EIC) designs for the detailed engineering phases of the project.
•Select appropriate components for control systems, communication systems and fire detection/alarm systems, and prepare cables and panels to complete designs.
•Prepare instrument, valve and control system procurement packages, including specifications, datasheets and calculations, and review vendor documentation.
•Review and develop deliverables such as control system architecture and I/O lists, PLC/DCS drawings, and instrument loop diagrams.
•Coordinate the project’s EIC team by managing design work packages, deadlines and budget, and mentor junior staff.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 105,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Electrical Engineering (BSc) degree with specializations or experience in instrumentation and controls
•Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in the province of British Columbia or able to transfer
•Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, preferably in mining/metallurgical or similar process industries
•Class 5 driver’s license
•Willingness to travel to client sites
