Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle in accordance with applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely on required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas; follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when needed; arrange trailers in shipping yards.
  • •Maintain shipping paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver documentation when routes are complete; perform routine service checks and report malfunctions.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight, depending on state.
  • •Pass background and drug testing required by federal/state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical for vehicles over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • •Maintain focus in a busy environment and communicate professionally and courteously with customers and staff.
  • •Be able to lift/move up to 40 pounds and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab; CDL may be required to be clean shaven for deliveries.
