Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership for civil engineering and highway design projects in the UK and overseas.
  • •Lead and mentor design teams, including supervision and development of junior members.
  • •Act as Project Manager, coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs and undertaking project reviews to optimise solutions.
  • •Manage project resources and people within the local team, and lead a culture of technical review and challenge.
  • •Lead commercial aspects (fees and position) and contribute to tenders/bids while developing client relationships.

Key Requirements

  • •MEng/BEng/BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering or a relevant qualification with experience managing development projects.
  • •Chartered or Incorporated professional qualification with a relevant professional body (desirable).
  • •Broad highways-focused civil engineering project experience, including multi-disciplinary work.
  • •Working knowledge of industry standards such as DMRB, Specification for Highway Works, Local Authority highway design guidelines, and Manual for Streets.
  • •AutoCAD and/or Civils 3D experience, with capability for 2D drawing and 3D modelling (plus ability to obtain UK vetting Security Check (SC), preferably).
