Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment; road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain a company-issued service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work on repair orders by uploading pictures using a company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application; complete DOT forms and comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternate combination such as 5 years’ experience).
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • •Complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical, with a current valid DOT medical card acceptable in lieu when applicable.
  • •Possess and supply the hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
  • •Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
