Key Responsibilities

•Lead TikTok’s social product design across core social scenarios (friend interactions and sharing, Stories, DMs) and explore new ways to spark authentic connection.
•Translate user needs into product direction by building business understanding and using product thinking and data to surface real needs.
•Prototype with AI coding tools to surface optimization opportunities and rapidly turn ideas into interactive demos.
•Maintain strong product taste and social instinct by keeping a high aesthetic bar and staying current on social interaction patterns and cultural trends.
•Solve complex problems simply by using the simplest effective design approach and coordinating with product managers and engineers to ship high-quality experiences.

Key Requirements

•Deep hands-on practice with AI coding tools to independently turn product and design ideas into high-fidelity, interactive demos that validate experience and feasibility.
•Strong product and data sense, sharp design judgment, and high attention to experience detail, including the ability to elevate from large volumes of AI-generated output.
•Ability to identify and define problems in complex business and user contexts, propose well-judged solutions, and drive them to launch.
•Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills, effective in fast-changing environments.
•Strong self-drive and learning loop, valuing reflection and retrospection to build reusable methods and insights.
