Key Responsibilities

  • •Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver and unload concrete to construction sites as specified and per dispatch instructions.
  • •Maintain cleanliness of the truck and work area, including rinsing the drum before and after deliveries and assisting with shoveling/sweeping and yard work as needed.
  • •Comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices and use supplied PPE.
  • •Communicate with the dispatcher or plant supervisor, check delivery tickets for special instructions, and complete required documentation and signatures.
  • •Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report maintenance/repair issues, and collect/record customer transactions as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Must possess a valid minimum Class B CDL (or complete training and pass the CDL exam to obtain CDL licensure).
  • •Acquire and maintain a valid DOT medical card and a state-issued commercial driver license.
  • •Comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices and use PPE as directed.
  • •Read and interpret safety and operating/maintenance instructions and manuals; write routine reports and information on tickets.
