Job Summary

Support and monitor breeder flock health, welfare, and productivity to meet animal care and production standards. Provide technical guidance to contract growers, implement best practices for breeder bird management, and ensure compliance with biosecurity, nutrition, welfare, and environmental protocols. Conduct farm inspections, lead safety meetings, oversee pullet movement, perform vaccinations and medication as needed, track productivity and hatchability, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct regular farm inspections to verify adherence to company standards, contractual obligations, and cooperative agreements.
•Provide technical guidance to growers and implement best practices to maintain breeder flock health, fertility, and productivity.
•Organize safety meetings and promote compliance to prevent risk; ensure biosecurity during pullet movement.
•Perform field vaccinations and administer medications; weigh and evaluate pullets, hens, and males to track growth and condition.
•Monitor hen productivity metrics, collect/transport hatching eggs, maintain hatchability records, and support employee scheduling and training.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 60,591 - 73,618.2 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science (or similar field) preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
•Current driver’s license with a good driving record.
•2–5 years of directly related experience preferred.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong communication and leadership skills (written and verbal).
•Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
