Job Summary

Design, implement, and improve secure, scalable software systems in Visa’s fintech technology environment. Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements for product components and incorporate feedback into future solutions.
•Translate functional requirements into system designs and communicate component interactions aligned to business needs and timelines.
•Design and develop product components, refine code plans, and lead design reviews to ensure completeness and requirement adherence.
•Lead code reviews and drive code quality through metrics and best practices, while handling debugging and troubleshooting.
•Create complex test plans, monitor environments to identify defects, respond to incidents during on-call rotations, and build developer tools to support programs and applications.

Key Requirements

•7.5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, or a related field.
•Extensive Java experience with Spring and Hibernate, including concurrency, multithreading, and performance optimization.
•Experience designing scalable distributed systems (microservices, event-driven, service mesh) with distributed consensus and coordination services.
•Proficiency with building/operating distributed services and APIs (SOAP/REST, OAuth/SAML, async/reactive with Spring WebFlux) plus testing, monitoring, and incident response.
