Key Responsibilities

•Act as a credit approver across credit portfolios, exercising independent delegated authority on complex and material proposals.
•Lead and develop a small team of credit approvers, ensuring technical capability, sound judgement, and alignment to risk appetite.
•Administer and support the Credit Committee and associated governance forums, ensuring insight-driven, forward-looking governance outputs.
•Provide forward-looking portfolio stewardship, monitoring performance versus risk appetite metrics and escalating breaches or emerging concerns.
•Lead credit risk MI and reporting, translating portfolio insights into outputs that inform capital, stress testing, provisioning, and senior management decisions.

Key Requirements

•12+ years’ experience in credit risk management in a European or international banking environment.
•Experience across multiple asset classes, including managing specialist or complex exposures such as structured credit.
•Track record operating under delegated credit authority and engaging with senior governance forums.
•Deep understanding of European regulatory expectations for risk governance and oversight.
•Strong judgement and credibility to influence senior management/executive-level stakeholders.
