Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and build Canonical’s threat intelligence strategy, including OSINT research environments and tradecraft techniques.
  • •Identify and track targeted intrusion cyber threats, trends, and threat actor developments using proprietary and open source datasets.
  • •Collaborate across teams to inform on activity of interest, coordinate adversary/campaign tracking, and fill intelligence gaps with new tools and research projects.
  • •Work with product and engineering teams to explain cybersecurity threats and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • •Work with the OPSEC and IS team to implement or update security controls, and conduct briefings for executives, internal stakeholders, and external customers.

Key Requirements

  • •Lead threat intelligence strategy and execution with strong experience in threat intelligence leadership.
  • •Knowledgeable about the current open source threat landscape and computer networking/infrastructure concepts.
  • •Highly competent with OSINT tools such as Buscador, Trace Labs OSINT VM, OSINT Framework, Maltego, and Shodan.
  • •Experience using threat intelligence data to influence security controls and product or enterprise architecture decisions.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, with relevant security certifications (e.g., GOSI, SANS SEC487 & SEC587, IntelTechniques OSIP).
