Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish and maintain cost and schedule baselines and implement/operate EVM processes to calculate and report planned value, earned value, actual cost, CPI, and SPI.
  • •Produce monthly project performance reports with variance analyses, forecast-to-complete updates, and trend assessments for senior leadership and the capital investment review committee.
  • •Support the stage gate process by validating and assembling data-driven gate review packages and maintaining stage-gated portfolio status tracking.
  • •Develop and refine capital cost benchmarking datasets and evaluate estimate accuracy class consistency with engineering and scope definition.
  • •Extract and interpret project cost data from ERP, perform budget-vs-actual and commitment tracking, reconcile EVM vs. ERP actuals, and support ERP platform transitions to reduce reliance on external spreadsheets.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • •Minimum 7 years of experience in project controls or cost engineering in heavy industry (mining or construction preferred).
  • •Strong working knowledge of earned value management (EVM), baseline management, progress measurement, and performance forecasting.
  • •Proficiency with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and hands-on experience with Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
  • •Ability to extract and interpret project cost data from enterprise ERP systems and reconcile EVM performance data against ERP actuals.
