Key Responsibilities

  • •Support review and challenge of IFRS 17 results, providing Group advice and challenges in governance forums.
  • •Analyze, interpret, and develop management information solutions to support budgeting and forecasting.
  • •Understand IFRS 17 reporting results from local entities and help formulate the Group “story” around the numbers.
  • •Review and challenge the reasonableness of actuarial approaches, methodologies, assumptions, and judgments to ensure compliance with IFRS 17 policies, controls, and risk framework.
  • •Stay informed of accounting policy/methodology/process changes to assess impacts early, strengthen SOX controls, and improve production documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Experienced, qualified actuary with a recognised professional body (e.g., IFoA, SOA).
  • •Minimum 5 years in financial reporting, with a track record in life insurance companies or consultancy firms.
  • •Strong actuarial knowledge of IFRS 17, including end-to-end reporting methodology, assumptions, processes, controls, and governance.
  • •Strong writing and presentation skills for producing high-quality reports for governance forums.
  • •Experience with Prophet modelling and/or understanding finance systems and accounting rules is an advantage.
