Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct security and sanitation checks before relieving the outgoing officer and throughout the shift.
  • •Ensure supervision, safety, and security of detainees; maintain order and discipline and enforce facility rules and regulations.
  • •Inventory and receive authorized equipment, ensure radio readiness, and maintain accurate post logbook entries.
  • •Provide care, custody, and control of detainees, including removing detainees from holding areas using proper restraints and security measures.
  • •Supervise detainees during deportation or exclusion hearings, transport, medical care, and other duties as assigned while completing defensive tactics and other training.

Key Requirements

  • •Be a citizen of the United States.
  • •Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and be at least 18 years of age.
  • •Pass a criminal background and consumer credit check (no criminal record or poor credit history).
  • •Obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance and pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
  • •Hold a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain and maintain a state security guard license; read, write, and speak fluent English.
