Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate and oversee security assurance activities within the product portfolio, aligning with organizational priorities, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • •Integrate and synthesize outputs from specialist cybersecurity teams (e.g., compliance, governance, secure coding) to track, prioritize, and manage risks and control gaps through remediation.
  • •Monitor and review the effectiveness of security controls and assurance processes, escalating significant findings and supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • •Champion security assurance methodologies, tools, and documentation to improve consistency, efficiency, and alignment with industry standards across the portfolio.
  • •Engage with IT and business stakeholders to promote secure-by-design and proactive risk management, providing guidance and supporting the integration of assurance findings into business and technical processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) plus an information security certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, or CEH.
  • •5+ years in cybersecurity assurance, governance, risk, or a closely related discipline, leading assurance activities across complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise environments.
  • •Advanced knowledge of information security assurance principles, control frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements, including ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and COBIT.
  • •Proven ability to coordinate, integrate, and govern outputs from governance, risk, compliance, secure coding, threat intelligence, and architecture into a cohesive assurance view.
  • •Ability to design, monitor, and continuously evaluate security control effectiveness, identify assurance gaps, escalate material risks, and drive accountable remediation.
