  • •Serve as a Senior Research Engineer on an interdisciplinary combustion and propulsion team, focusing on pressure gain combustion and rotating detonation engines.
  • •Work on advanced propulsion concepts including gas turbine combustion, high-speed and multi-physics reacting flows, sprays, and experimental combustion and diagnostics.
  • •Apply combustion science, fluid mechanics, and chemical kinetics in support of advanced propulsion technology development.

Key Requirements

  • •M.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related); for Senior Research Engineer, a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of post-degree work experience in RDE and gas turbine combustor development or advanced engine architectures.
  • •Proficient knowledge of pressure gain combustion, combustion science, fluid mechanics, and chemical kinetics applied to advanced propulsion technologies.
  • •Experience in RDE and gas turbine combustor design, experimental combustion and diagnostics, and computational fluid dynamics for high-speed and/or reacting flows.
  • •Demonstrated ability to deliver challenging technical objectives through creative problem solving and innovative thinking.
  • •Record of technical contributions including patents or publications.
