Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in the installation and qualification of systems and troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues.
  • •Solve production, equipment, and process problems and implement yield and product performance improvements.
  • •Respond to SPC process control alarms and bring processes back into control.
  • •Execute planned process experiments: collect, analyze, and report experimental data; track daily tool performance and associated product performance.
  • •Set up and maintain gauges, develop internal documentation (drawings, SOPs, process specifications), and train production associates; interface with suppliers/associates as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED required, plus one of: an associate degree in a technical discipline, 2+ years of machine/mechanic experience, one year of First Solar technical experience, or six months as a Temporary Manufacturing Engineering Technician at First Solar.
  • •General electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on the manufacturing line.
  • •Self-directed ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • •Good written and oral communications skills in English.
