Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical baseline and lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team (aerodynamics, structures, GNC, propulsion, avionics, and software) through detailed design, system integration, and verification.
  • •Coordinate prototype fabrication and assembly of prototype and development articles, resolving engineering challenges during the build process.
  • •Plan and execute a comprehensive test program, including ground tests, SIL/HIL integration, and developmental flight test to validate performance and expand the operational envelope.
  • •Guide system design and architecture through critical design trades, sub-system optimization, and interface management to deliver a cohesive, high-performance air vehicle.
  • •Serve as technical authority for system safety and airworthiness, drive root cause analysis during integration/testing, and support production readiness and deployed flight test and demonstration activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience as a Chief Engineer, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, or senior technical leader on a carrier-based Navy aircraft program.
  • •Hands-on experience leading a multi-disciplinary team through at least one major phase of aircraft EMD (detailed design, prototype build, or flight test).
  • •Proven track record taking a complex aircraft system from design into build and successful flight testing.
  • •Strong technical foundation across multiple aircraft disciplines (aerodynamics, structures, GNC, propulsion, and systems integration), with an emphasis on carrier suitability.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a related engineering field and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
