Job Summary

As a Mechanical Assembler I, you’ll perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, testing, fabrication, and inspection work to keep production flowing at the San Marcos, TX facility. After training, you’ll work 2nd shift and execute precision assembly using hand tools, follow blueprints and work instructions, perform measurement and inspection (including using calipers and micrometers), and record test results while meeting PPE, cleanroom, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Complete training and then perform mechanical/electro-mechanical assembly, testing, fabrication, and inspection operations to maintain production flow.
•Perform quality work checks, identify product defects, and record defect findings.
•Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
•Use precision assembly tools (e.g., drills, torque wrenches, rivet guns) and follow blueprints/operation sheets for standard work instructions.
•Conduct tests (including oxygen purity and moisture content), record gauge readings/results, and adhere to PPE, cleanroom, quality, and safety procedures.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires an HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
•1+ years of relevant machine operation experience (highly preferred).
•1+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and/or engineering drawings to assemble equipment.
•1+ years of experience with general hand and/or power tools.
•Must be willing and able to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a standing position for up to 10 hours per day.
