Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage the process of patent preparation and prosecution (domestic and foreign), including directing Outside Counsel to ensure compliance with NVIDIA guidelines and local laws.
•Provide training, education, and counsel to internal clients on patent filing, acquisition, and freedom to operate.
•Develop strategic decisions to grow NVIDIA’s patent portfolio to address emerging trends and changing demands.
•Collaborate with Legal and cross-functional teams on IP matters including portfolio valuation, assertions, and transactions (e.g., M&A).
•Foster subject matter expertise and counsel on invention harvesting and evaluation for IP-active areas.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 192,000 - 304,750 annually

Key Requirements

•A technical undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience), preferably a CE or Computer Science degree.
•6+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
•A J.D. degree with a license to practice law in California.
•Registration to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
•Outstanding interpersonal skills: written and verbal, organizational abilities, and attested attention to detail.
