Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide pragmatic legal advice and solutions to support technology and business teams in meeting strategic goals and improving customer relationships.
  • •Serve as a trusted advisor on IP and technology licensing engagements and proactively identify issues and drive projects with cost/benefit assessments.
  • •Structure and lead negotiations for licensing transactions across technology areas including research, product design, and manufacturing.
  • •Review, draft, and negotiate technology and IP agreements such as technology licensing, joint development, university research, technology transfer, and software licensing.
  • •Advise on government-funded research programs and negotiate related government contracts, subcontracts, and grants; partner on IP due diligence for M&A.

Key Requirements

  • •JD from an ABA accredited law school and current membership in the bar in good standing.
  • •At least seven years of experience drafting and negotiating complex IP licensing agreements across geographies.
  • •Excellent working knowledge of IP law and strong attention to business details, ethics, and integrity.
  • •Experience working in an in-house legal environment.
  • •Top law firm and corporate experience in the semiconductor or adjacent industry.
  • •Located within a reasonable distance from Micron office, or willing to relocate.
