Key Responsibilities

  • •Interview commercial loan applicants and make credit decisions.
  • •Examine and evaluate applicants’ credit and financial history and review collateral adequacy (if applicable).
  • •Authorize or recommend approval/denial and approve loans within specified limits or refer to the appropriate approval level.
  • •Prepare loan offering memoranda and ensure all loan documents are complete, accurate, and aligned with policy; close or decline loans timely.
  • •Monitor the loan portfolio/performance and manage collections for past-due loans while maintaining credit files and collateral security documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Equivalent to a four-year college degree with 5 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •5 years lending experience and 5 years experience with banking, investment, or economic analysis.
  • •2 years experience using Microsoft Word and Excel, plus general computer skills.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively and write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals.
  • •Ability to evaluate credit and financial history and apply critical thinking to practical problems with limited standardization.
