Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with product owners, analysts, software engineers, and architects to refine requirements and translate them into fit-for-purpose acceptance tests.
  • •Analyze and validate solutions by designing tests and strategies spanning data quality, performance, security, and functional correctness across jobs, pipelines, and end-to-end workflows.
  • •Build test data generation/mocking and run exploratory analysis while creating automated tests/jobs across all stages of the data pipeline.
  • •Create and enhance data quality rules and observability platforms across the data pipeline; debug complex issues and resolve blockers with minimal supervision.
  • •Conduct data analysis activities such as source system analysis, data modeling, data dictionary collection, data profiling, and source-to-target mapping; support keeping data inventories and lineage up to date.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • •2+ years of Data Engineering experience focused on quality and automation.
  • •2+ years of testing, automation, and support experience in analytics applications such as Data Lake and Data Warehouse (preferably using Big Data stack and Microsoft Azure).
  • •Experience identifying quality issues across complex data pipelines and defining rules to validate data health.
  • •Programming skills in Python or Scala and SQL querying; exposure to Spark is nice-to-have.
