Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, coach, and mentor a cross-functional engineering team, supporting growth, well-being, and performance.
  • •Own the technical roadmap for the BOV platform, addressing reliability, security, and scalability for business verification.
  • •Partner deeply with BOV Global, Personal Onboarding, Wise Platform Verification, and Mitigation Handling to meet real product needs.
  • •Contribute hands-on to delivery when needed, staying close to the technology stack and leading by example.
  • •Own operational excellence: on-call rotas, SLAs, documentation, observability, and incident response with durable fixes.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 105,000 - 135,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineers, including managing performance, well-being, and growth constructively.
  • •Experience building and leading platform/infrastructure teams that serve other engineering teams, with strong prioritization and decision-making.
  • •Solid Java (17+) knowledge and hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot, with willingness to stay hands-on when needed.
  • •Strong system-design skills for distributed, high-throughput, resilient services (e.g., event-driven architectures, sagas, idempotency).
  • •Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization and schema design.
