Job Summary

Provide hands-on technical leadership to design and deliver Autodesk’s next-generation SaaS, cloud platform services, APIs, and agentic platform capabilities. Drive architecture and engineering standards across distributed systems and cloud-native components, partner with Product/Architecture/UX/Engineering globally, and help build scalable, secure, extensible developer experiences for SaaS, data, visualization, and AI-assisted workflows.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of large-scale initiatives across cloud services, platform capabilities, desktop applications, and visualization technologies.
•Define and drive technical strategy for Autodesk’s next-generation SaaS platform and shared cloud services, establishing engineering standards for scalability, reliability, and developer productivity.
•Define and evolve platform services, APIs, data models, and developer experiences that enable product teams to build and scale consistently across Autodesk.
•Drive adoption of intelligent platform capabilities supporting AI-assisted workflows, autonomous agents, orchestration frameworks, and knowledge services.
•Ensure software quality through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, conduct root-cause investigations for critical production incidents, and improve engineering processes and operational excellence.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 131,000 - 191,400 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of professional software development experience working on large-scale applications, platforms, SaaS products, or distributed systems.
•Strong proficiency in modern software development technologies including Java and Spring Boot, and C++ and/or .NET/C#.
•Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or equivalent cloud providers.
•Experience developing scalable APIs and services using REST, GraphQL, gRPC, or similar technologies.
•Deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native/service-oriented architectures, plus strong CI/CD, automated testing, and observability practices.
