Key Responsibilities

•Prepare eggs for incubation by grading and traying, transferring pedigree eggs, placing substandard eggs for disposal, packing eggs for orders, and processing day-old chicks (counting, vaccinating, wing banding, delivering).
•Enter data using a touch screen tablet and support chick and egg processing operations as assigned.
•Maintain a sanitary environment by operating tray washer and cleaning/sanitizing hatchery areas, performing weekly hatchery monitoring samples, and fumigating specified areas as required.
•Perform other hatchery duties such as holding eggs for fertility checks, assisting with sorting pedigree eggs, covering absences, and helping maintain hatchery vehicles.
•Follow biosecurity/animal welfare requirements and applicable safety policies, including use of required PPE and hazard communication/respiratory protection procedures.

Key Requirements

•Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no job gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
•Ability to follow rehire criteria (minimum waiting period of 180 days; rehire rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods).
•Willingness to work in a biosecure jobsite, including showering and changing clothing/footwear before entering.
•Must be willing to sign and abide by biosecurity and animal welfare guidelines and avoid any avian species per agreement.
•Must be able to perform physical demands including regular lifting/stacking up to 15 pounds and occasional pushing/pulling up to 125 pounds.
