Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead technical delivery for stormwater or river hydraulic modelling, applying hydraulic principles for infrastructure planning.
  • •Build, update, test, validate, and calibrate hydraulic models (including schematisation, input assessment, gap analysis, and performance assessment) using Innovyze ICM or Tuflow.
  • •Develop hydrologic models and urban hydrology models, interpret model outputs, and produce floodplain and hazard mapping.
  • •Use ArcGIS or QGIS to interpret and manipulate geospatial datasets for hydraulic modelling and resolve modelling anomalies with sound engineering judgement.
  • •Coordinate and verify project work through teams, ensuring IMS-aligned quality processes and mentoring/coaching others for effective delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years’ experience post-qualification in stormwater and/or river hydraulic modelling.
  • •At least 6 years using Innovyze ICM (stormwater) or Tuflow (river) with extensive use in the last 12 months.
  • •Demonstrable experience using ArcGIS or QGIS for stormwater and/or river hydraulic modelling projects.
  • •Automation or coding of hydraulic modelling activities is desirable.
  • •Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, followed by a Masters in Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering (or similar), plus Professional Registration (Chartered Engineer status or equivalent).
