Job Summary

Build and scale ByteDance’s Global Traffic Infrastructure (GTI) edge cloud and global traffic platform. You’ll work on edge resource orchestration, traffic scheduling, cloud resource governance, and platform automation to ensure high scalability, cost efficiency, and stable worldwide service for billions of users. Own core R&D and architecture iterations, develop a full-lifecycle resource operations platform, and handle on-call troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance bottleneck resolution.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead core R&D and architecture iteration for the traffic infrastructure platform, including business governance, orchestration & scheduling, and resource management.
•Build a full-lifecycle resource operations management platform covering resource planning, provisioning, sales, runtime, and billing; optimize resource utilization and delivery efficiency.
•Refine core business pipelines, polish domain models and engineering workflows, and design secure, robust systems aligned with business requirements and architecture.
•Own on-call incident troubleshooting, performance bottleneck resolution, and capacity planning to ensure year-round high availability and stable workload iteration.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Networking, Communications, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of hands-on R&D in cloud platform, cloud-native, or edge infrastructure domains.
•Strong computer science fundamentals including Linux system internals, process/memory/network models, and networking principles such as TCP/IP, virtual networking, and load balancing.
•Proficiency in at least one of Go, C++, or Python, with proven experience in large-scale backend or infrastructure development.
•In-depth expertise in Kubernetes core architecture and component principles, with a track record of large-scale cluster optimization.
•Hands-on experience with virtualization/container technologies (e.g., KVM/QEMU, Virtio, container isolation, image management) and cloud-native observability (Prometheus, Grafana, logging, distributed tracing).
