Job Summary

Maintain and repair plant machinery and equipment under general supervision, including compressors, pumps, water and gas lines, piping, and welding-related repairs. Work from prints and blueprints to layout and assemble steel construction repairs, operate machine tools and heavy equipment, and perform precision maintenance. Conduct daily inspections of compressors and pumps, maintain distribution systems, support welding and rigging tasks, and follow safety, PPE, documentation, and housekeeping expectations.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote and follow plant safety guidelines and observe all safety rules while wearing appropriate PPE.
•Repair and install plant equipment, including moving/installing process equipment and dismantling, repairing, and reassembling defective equipment.
•Interpret prints and blueprints and complete assigned repair jobs using work orders, verbal instructions, and established practices.
•Perform welding and fabrication tasks, including tack-welding and welding repairs using specified processes and equipment.
•Conduct daily and routine maintenance such as inspecting air compressors and water pumps, maintaining distribution systems and filters, and performing general pipe fitting and plumbing as needed.

Key Requirements

•High school graduation or equivalent is required.
•Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels and instructions.
•Ability to interpret instructions, blueprints, drawings, and sketches to complete repair work.
•Mechanical skills and the ability to work on compressors and pumps; perform troubleshooting and repairs.
•Knowledge and ability to set up and operate alignment equipment; safely use welding, cutting, and shop tools.
