Job Summary

Evaluate, select, and order manufacturing equipment for cost-effective semiconductor production. Oversee installation, modifications, upgrades, and maintenance while monitoring manufacturer technical notices, safety issues, and equipment performance and reliability. Develop programs to improve uptime, provide technical support to equipment repair and process engineering teams, and define preventative maintenance schedules to keep manufacturing running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

•Evaluate, select, and order manufacturing equipment that is appropriate and cost effective.
•Oversee installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
•Monitor equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
•Study equipment performance and reliability to improve uptime.
•Provide technical support for equipment repair and process engineering, including preventative maintenance schedules.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or related engineering.
•Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as an Equipment Engineer in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
•Equipment experience with AMAT Mirra Polishers and/or Novellus Polishers.
•Prior experience with CMP/WET equipment.
•Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and SPC techniques; cleanroom protocol experience preferred.
