Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete initial license training at Davis-Besse to obtain and maintain an SRO license.
  • •While in training, complete required systems and simulator training phases, in-field time, qualification cards, and pass the NRC license exam.
  • •Implement Emergency Operating procedures and direct procedural steps to stabilize the plant following emergency or abnormal conditions.
  • •Authorize maintenance and testing activities to ensure equipment status is maintained.
  • •Provide direct oversight of Davis-Besse operations, including directing operators, reviewing design and license changes (including 10CFR50.59 applicability and SQR reviews), and reviewing system documentation and operability during off-normal conditions.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • •Meet at least one: 1 year Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator license at a B&W PWR (or 1.5 years at a non-B&W PWR or a BWR).
  • •Alternatively, 1.5+ years in a reactor-equivalent role at a military reactor with 1.5 years after qualification.
  • •Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree (BS) in engineering/engineering technology/physical sciences or professional engineer license, plus 1.5+ years as a qualified non-licensed operator/supervisor/manager or equivalent experience at a comparable facility.
  • •Ability to complete NRC license requirements, including training phases, in-field time, qualification cards, and passing the NRC license exam.
