Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and maintain MV equipment and maintain existing MV electrical equipment to meet customer requirements in line with Eaton Safety requirements.
  • •Serve as primary point of contact for customers during installation project execution; support and lead other service engineers as needed.
  • •Create RAMS and produce test plans for SAT of MV systems based on switchgear specifications, scheme drawings, standard tests, and relay settings.
  • •Perform commissioning and post-installation primary plant testing (e.g., resistance/inductor, insulation resistance, dielectric/Hi potential, CT analysis, primary injection).
  • •Carry out commissioning and witness SAT testing, manage test/commissioning files, react to breakdowns/call-outs, and coach/develop engineers while coordinating deliverables with project management.

Key Requirements

  • •HND or equivalent experience.
  • •10+ years of experience (and additional experience indicated).
  • •Theoretical and practical understanding of MV distribution systems with evidence of electrical qualifications, including 3-phase theory, harmonics, and power factor correction.
  • •Ability to create RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) for high voltage/high current testing and work confidently using LOTO (lock out tag out).
  • •Experience producing MV SAT test plans and interpreting electrical drawings, with ability to challenge potential drawing omissions.
