Location: Malaga, Madrid
Workplace: Hybrid
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Software Engineering
Seniority: Mid level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and operate reusable backend services in Python or TypeScript/Node.js that expose clean APIs for other domains.
  • •Lead migrations that retire legacy integrations and serve data directly from purpose-built services with clear contracts and source-of-truth boundaries.
  • •Move complex domain logic (e.g., Lending, Underwriting, Trade Finance workflows) out of Salesforce configuration into purpose-built platforms.
  • •Own development and maintenance end-to-end using the “You build it, you own it” philosophy, including monitoring, alerting, observability, and integration patterns.
  • •Integrate production AI capabilities (LLM-based chat responses and deterministic workflow triggers) and help stand up orchestration with Temporal.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years backend software engineering (Senior) / 7+ years with cross-domain architectural impact (Staff), with depth in distributed systems and cloud-native design.
  • •Experience building production backend services, including data modeling, API design, async patterns, idempotency, and microservices failure modes.
  • •Strong source-of-truth systems design and data-contract boundary reasoning, including synchronous vs asynchronous trade-offs.
  • •Experience integrating LLMs into production (or readiness to apply RAG, prompt engineering, and model evaluation within strict data-access boundaries).
  • •Fintech or financial services experience, plus comfort contributing across the full stack (including React for operational tooling).
