Job Summary

Develop maritime and waterfront structural engineering projects from initial concept through detailed design and construction support. Work within a global structural engineering and maritime specialists team on ports, harbors, offshore wind terminals, coastal resiliency, and related infrastructure. Independently produce calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports, perform quality control reviews, support RFP technical scope and fee estimates, and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines on deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform design and planning for structural design of maritime/waterfront projects including ports and harbors, marinas, container and offshore wind terminals, and coastal protection and resiliency.
•Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports, and support oversight of deliverables produced by junior structural engineers.
•Conduct quality control review of design calculations and drawings.
•Develop technical scope and design fee estimates in response to RFPs.
•Coordinate with other in-house and subconsultant engineering disciplines and perform condition assessments and site visits as needed.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field plus four (4) plus years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
•Professional Engineering licensure in Civil/Structural Engineering.
•Master of Science with a Structural Engineering concentration.
•Six (6) plus years of experience as a Structural Engineer focused on ports, marine, and waterfront projects.
•Experience with computer analysis and design software such as SAP 2000, RISA 3D, STAAD.Pro, SAFE; plus AutoCAD and Revit.

Experience:4+ years

Education:Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering

Certifications:Professional Engineering licensure in Civil/Structural Engineering
