Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership and guidance in production engineering activities aligned with operational targets, mine plans, and business objectives.
  • •Lead development, implementation, and monitoring of production optimization strategies to improve productivity, equipment utilization, efficiency, and cost performance.
  • •Analyze production data to identify trends and deliver actionable insights for continuous improvement and operational decisions.
  • •Develop and maintain production performance dashboards, reports, and KPIs to track operational effectiveness.
  • •Partner cross-functionally to deliver improvement projects, review processes to remove bottlenecks, and support mine planning with production engineering input while ensuring safety compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or an equivalent engineering qualification.
  • •Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in mining operations, preferably open pit mining.
  • •Proven experience leading production optimization initiatives and improvement projects.
  • •Experience analyzing operational performance and implementing improvement strategies.
  • •Valid EIZ Membership and Full Grade 12 Certificate.
